Congratulations to the JHS Students of the Month for November! We are so proud and appreciative of your daily effort and accomplishments.

Jonesville Community Schools sends its condolences to Oxford Schools for the tragedy they suffered. There are no words that can take away the pain and hurt to those who lost loved ones and the injured.
After tragedies such as this, it’s normal to try to find out the “why” . Unfortunately, there isn’t always one clear answer. What I do know is, we can all check in on our family and friends. If someone is hurting please let someone know. Tell a teacher, principal, family member etc know because it truly does take a community.
The Comet community extends its thoughts and prayers to Oxford Schools.
In Sympathy,
Erik Weatherwax
Superintendent, Jonesville Community Schools

This is an interesting story from NPR about aliens, telescopes, and one of our former Comets, Shane Smith. He is a 2018 grad. Go Comets!!!

At the Big 8 Quizbowl our JV (Freshman/Sophomore) took 1st place and our Varsity (Junior/Senior) took 2nd place. The 7th grade team took 1st place and so did the 8th grade team! Great job to our Comet competitors! Go Comets!!!!

Jonesville Community Schools would like to thank all of our veterans for their service to our country and community. If you see a veteran today, be sure to thank them for their service.

We will be taking down the bond survey tomorrow. If you have not taken it please take a minute to do so because this information is useful to the district moving forward. Here is the link:

Thank you and Go Comets!

District volleyball -Jonesville Comets will play the Hanover Horton Comets at 6:00 in Springport for the district final!! Come cheer on our Comets!

As you know, we ran an athletic facility bond over the summer and it was defeated. The vote was very close but it’s important to understand why people voted the way they did whether it was yes or no. The survey is on our main page at Jonesvilleschools.org.
The survey is anonymous. We are just looking for insight from our community. If you’ve already taken the survey there is no need to take it again. We appreciate your help with this! Go Comets!

Friendly reminder to take our survey on the athletic bond. The link is in the email sent from Sunday night. It’s very quick and provides us with useful information as we decide how to proceed. Thank you to all of our Comet families who have already completed the survey!

Jonesville High School Picture Day will be November 18th.

Comet families! As you know, students are required to wear masks on school buses as they are deemed public transportation. We have been providing masks for our students who have forgotten their’s but it really should be in case of an emergency. In the last two weeks, we have gone through over a thousand masks which is more than we did since the beginning of the school year. Please make sure your student has a mask so we are only handing them out in case of emergencies. Thank you

Jonesville is now paying substitute teachers $100 a day! We are in need of guest teachers at all grade levels. Come be a part of Comet pride!
