Today the varsity baseball and softball teams are making up their canceled games from yesterday. They travel to Napoleon for a 4:00 doubleheader.

The golf team will make up their Cascades jamboree from yesterday on Thursday, April 9. They will travel to Lakeland Hill Golf Course for a 1:00 start.

Come be apart of the Middle School Interscholastic Horsemanship club team for Jonesville Middle School. Fifth thru eighth graders compete with their equine athletes in several different disciplines including showmanship, saddle seat, English and Western at either a walk/trot or walk/trot/canter level. All classes are judged on equitation, and the team competes together to earn points.

The hope is that they would also play tomorrow, April 2, at 4:00.

Spring sports at the high school are in full swing! When we return from Spring Break, competitions will begin. All schedules can be found at jonesvillecomets.org.
Moving forward, spring sports will follow the other sports seasons in regards to admission. Listed below is the information.

Jonesville Community Schools Staff = free with ID
Senior Citizens = over 65 are free or Golden Age Pass
$5 for others (Kindergarten and above)
Family pass = $150
Adult pass = $75
Golden Age pass (good for Jonesville athletic events and at all Cascade schools) = $5 one time donation
Golden age passes are for our fans age 65+
These passes will be available for purchase at the high school office Monday through Friday from 8:00 - 3:00.

Athletic update for March 3, 2026:
Boys and Girls Bowling teams results at Skore Lanes in Taylor for MHSAA Finals.
On Friday, Feb 27, in the Team State Finals, the Comet Girls and Boys both qualified 2nd after bowling 8 baker games and 2 regular games, getting them into match play. The Girls then beat Burton Bendle, getting them into the State Semi Finals before losing to Hudson. The Boys got redemption over Traverse City Christian, the team that beat us in the Championship match 2 years ago, putting them into the the State Semi Finals before struggling against Riverview Gabriel Richard.
In the Individual State Finals on Feb 28, the girls bowled well with Morgan Dilyard qualifying 9th and Harper James at 11th, both making match play. Karli Wittingen missed the cut by 2 pins. Harper lost to the eventual State Runner up and Morgan Dilyard beat Victoria Shea of Sandusky to make it to the Elite 8 before losing to the eventual State Champ Alexis Swanson of Hudson. Senior Kyle Covey was the highest Boys qualifier missing match play by 37 pins.
The Comets had a great season with both teams going undefeated in conference, winning regionals, and finishing in the top 4 teams in the State, and having 6 kids make it to state for individuals and one of them placing in the top 16 and one in top 8 at State.
Boys Basketball
The boys basketball team won the District Championship game on Friday, Feb 27, over Quincy by a score of 51-46. The Comets take their 18-6 record to Clinton High School today for the MHSAA D3 Regional Semifinals to take on the 18-5 Ecorse Raiders at 7:00. Onsted takes on Whiteford at 5:30. The game will be live streamed on NFHS. Tickets are $9 and must be purchased through GoFan(no cash accepted and no passes allowed). The theme for the fans today is White Out! With a win tonight, the team would play on Thursday at 7:00 for the Regional Championship at Clinton High School.
Wrestling
This Friday and Saturday, senior Blake Ryan will be competing at the MHSAA Individual Wrestling State Finals at Ford Field.
Girls Basketball
The girls basketball will compete in MHSAA D3 district at Quincy High School on Wednesday, March 4 at 7:00 against Homer. Other teams in the district include Hudson, Quincy, Homer and Hillsdale. The championship game will take place on March 6 at 7:00, back at Quincy High School
