Today is the day and the weather will be beautiful!

Today, Friday, October 17, marks the end of an era for Jonesville football. The Comets will play their last varsity regular season game on our current field against Vandercook Lake. The current field is close to 75 years old.

It will be Senior night for our band, cross country teams, sideline cheer team and football team with those introductions taking place before the game at 6:30. Parents - please meet in the southeast corner of the field at 6:20 to get lined up. At halftime, the band will play their halftime show. Following that, we will have the Patricia Krohn Memorial Award presentation. After that presentation, we will honor longtime varsity football coach Greg Morrison on his induction into the Michigan Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame this past summer. We are asking anyone who played or coached with Coach Morrison to join him and his family on the field for the presentation. Former players and coaches - please meet inside the fence at the south endzone.

Summer Meal Pick Up Information Per the USDA, summer meals are only to be picked up by a parent or a guardian for their own children. You are NOT allowed to pick up for minors outside of your household. We realize that this will be challenging for some families but we must be compliant with USDA guidelines and regulations. Violations of these guidelines put the entire program at risk. We want to thank our food service staff who work so hard to provide this service to our community!

Good afternoon Comet families. I wanted to let you know that bus 6 was involved in an accident today. No one was injured but they are going to switch out the bus. The replacement bus is on the way right now. However, as a result, bus 6 students will be a little late to their usual drop off times. Have a good evening.

Reminder that the due date for the RFP bid for construction of the FFA barn is tomorrow, May 2nd by 3:00 p.m. Interested parties should go to Jonesvilleschools.org. From there, click on "menu" at the top. This will take you to another screen that will have choices that include, "documents". Click on that and the RFP documents for the FFA barn are at the bottom. Our Food Service Department recently purchased new tables for the Middle and High School cafeterias. The students now have a nice place to enjoy their meals. The tables are decorated with the Jonesville logo and show off our school colors. A huge thank you to the kitchen staff for helping unload the tables and the maintenance staff for all of the assembling they did. Be sure to check out these new tables the next time you are in the high school or middle school!
