Exciting News for Jonesville Community Schools!
The Hillsdale County Community Foundation is thrilled to announce that the Heartwood Solar Grant Committee has awarded $4,410 to support several projects for JCS students:
Magic School Bus Adventure – $360 has been allocated to send 69 first graders from Williams Elementary to see The Magic School Bus performance at the Potter Center. A huge shout-out to Sharri Beatty, DeAnna Mann, and Kerry Cavanaugh for this creative idea!
Williams Elementary Super U Challenge Assembly – $850 has been granted to bring the Super U Challenge (Character Counts/Anti-Bullying) assembly to over 600 students. Thank you, Caitlin Zaumseil, for making this happen!
Jonesville Middle School Library Enhancements – A grant of $3,200 will fund $1,000 towards handheld audiobooks (Playaways) and $2,200 for new middle school library books. We appreciate Olivia Turner’s efforts to create an engaging literary experience for students.
A special thank you to Heartwood Solar for their generous support and commitment to enriching the lives of students! These projects will foster learning, creativity, and positive character development across JCS schools.

Last week, Sheena Sigler from Cobra Motorcycles visited our STEM classes to do a manufacturing presentation for Manufacturing Day! During her presentation, she did an activity with students that involved assigning jobs to students that included supervisors, assemblers, quality engineers, and inventory control and then put the students into groups to work together as a team to assemble their project. Sheena also brought in two different Cobra bikes for the kids to check out! Thank you so much to Cobra Motorcycle for taking the time to educate our kids about the manufacturing business! We appreciate everything you do for our school!
Jonesville High School has been selected as one of the high school sports programs to receive funds from the 2024 McDonald’s High School Sports Digital Fundraiser!
On October 3rd, local area McDonald’s restaurants will be raising money for local high school sports programs. Restaurants will be donating 20% of all Mobile Order & Pay sales made in the McDonald’s App on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024 to your school’s athletic department.

Good afternoon Comet families! This message is for families whose students ride BUS 12. Beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, BUS 12 will be picking students up at the Litchfield in town stop ten minutes later for the remainder of the year. THIS ONLY APPLIES TO THE A.M. runs. Any student at the in town Litchfield stop should bump back their pick up time by 10 minutes for the a.m. pick up. Thank you and go Comets!

Athletic update for live streaming of athletic events:
Jonesville Community Schools will continue to use NFHS for the streaming of various athletic contests. The link for this service is https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/schools/jonesville-high-school-jonesville-mi
There is a subscription fee associated with NFHS. We have cameras that allow us to record events at the football field, in the high school gym, and the middle school gym.
Jonesville Community Schools also now offers Hudl for the streaming of various athletic contests because of the Jonesville Athletic Boosters Association's generous help! The link to the service is

Pathways Virtual School
Youth football camp opportunity for our kids grades 1-6. This camp is coached by the Hillsdale College Football Staff and current players. They focus on teaching general agility and position specific skills. Their goal is to teach kids the game of football, while also allowing them to fall in love with the game.
